Kejo's Theme
Kejo's theme represents his family's joyful status quo. It plays in the first scene to establish a comfortable sense of home, when Kejo is confident in his ideas, and intertwined with Beast's theme over the credits montage of Kejo and Beast's happy ending. The bright and bouncy nature of the acoustic guitar, pan flute, and marimba play to Kejo's youth and optimism.
Beast's Theme
Before Beast is revealed as a friend, Kejo and his family fear him. For the first half of the film, any time Beast is mentioned, a minor variation of Beast's theme plays. When Beast's true nature is revealed, we hear the major variation for the first time. Beast's theme culminates in the climax of the film when he shows Kejo his breathtaking home and history. When Beast joins Kejo's family, their themes intertwine to form a fuller, more complete sound over the end credits of the film.
